    IAAS Archival Vistas Briefings Series

     

    Archival Vistas Briefings is a virtual program series based around a theme, offered by the International Archival Affairs Section (IAAS) of the Society of American Archivists.

     

    This year's theme is international work and educational opportunities. Have you ever thought about earning a degree, researching or working abroad, or attending an international conference? Please join us for our first event on this theme on November 3, at 11 am Eastern, on the topic of the Fulbright Scholar Program and learning of the experiences of colleague archivist Tamara Štefanac.

     

    Fall event: Fulbright Scholar Program

     

    Guest speaker: Dr. Tamara Štefanac

    About Dr. Tamara Štefanac

    Dr. sc. Tamara Štefanac works as a Senior Archivist in the National and University Library in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. She holds M.A.s in Art History, Comparative Literature, and Archival Studies and a Ph.D. in Information Studies. Previously, she worked as a museum curator and director of the Croatian Railway Museum. Recently she completed a postdoctoral research program as a Fulbright Visiting Scholar in the USA with the research project entitled "Archival documentation of diasporic Croatian community experiences." During her Fulbright visit she designed and taught a selective course at the University of California, Los Angeles entitled "Transnational archival documentation of diasporic community experiences." Her work is oriented toward problems of archival and documentary heritage management in various contexts. Find more about her project here: https://international.ucla.edu/euro/article/267727.
