IAAS Annual Meeting, June 27th, 2024, 12 pm to 1:30 pm central time – online
You are cordially invited to join the International Archival Affairs Section (IAAS) for our annual meeting!
We will be providing live captioning and American Sign Language interpretation, through the generous support of SAA component funding.
On June 27th at 12 noon central time, IAAS will meet for our annual membership business meeting, wrapping up one interesting year and launching another. After a short business meeting, we will welcome our guest speaker, Dr. Bogdan-Florin Popovici, presenting on the new international standard, Records in Contexts (RiC).
Bogdan-Florin Popovici currently works with the National Archives of Romania as head of county division, and as associate professor in Alma Mater Europea (Slovenia). He graduated from the Faculty of Archival Science, in Bucharest and holds a Ph.D. in modern history. He is active in both national and international recordkeeping fields, being involved in several archival projects and training programs. He is a member of Experts Group for Archival description of the International Council on Archives (since 2008) and in this capacity, he actively has taken part in the development of the Records in Contexts conceptual model.
