    Hello from the California History Section in the California State Library!

    We wanted to let you know about our upcoming event in our free virtual speaker series:

    • Thursday, June 13th, 6:00-7:30PM: Words of Liberation: The Exploration of Blackness through Poetry -Join us as Kim McMillon, the editor of Black Fire – This Time, and Poet Laureates Robin Coste Lewis and devorah major engage in a conversation that seeks to clear the cloudy lenses and outdated images of Blackness that Black women have had to navigate.
