The meeting will include a recap of 2024 Section business, updates on ongoing projects, and news about the upcoming Preservation Section Steering Committee elections.
There will also be a presentation and discussion, "Advancing Preservation: Learning from Projects Funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities"

Sean Ferguson will discuss current preservation initiatives at NEH, and he will introduce a selected group of speakers who will give brief talks on recent NEH-funded projects they have led in large as well as in smaller repositories. System and Archives Librarian Pam Gladis of Southwest Minnesota State University will discuss her experience with the Preservation Assistance Grant for Smaller Institutions and the progress made after receiving an award in this program. The Executive Director of South County History Center, Erica Luke, will share how her organization used a Sustaining Cultural Heritage Collections award to improve their facility's environmental conditions. The presentation will be an opportunity for section members to learn more about the granting process and how funded projects lead to visible outcomes for cultural heritage preservation.
