I'm interested in hearing from other institutions that use or have used Twitter/X as a main channel for social media outreach.
Given the rapid changes at Twitter, including lack of moderation, branding changes, and bigoted and anti-Semitic comments from the company's CEO, we are looking for other avenues to promote our content and events. However we have also found a lack of guidance from professional organizations and our own institution when it comes to the continued use of Twitter/X or recommendations for other viable platforms.
I'd like to hear from you in you have:
Left Twitter – Where did you go and why? What is engagement like on the other platform? Would you recommend it?
Stayed with Twitter – Are you seeing the same levels of engagement? Are your followers continuing to post? Are you looking to move, or stay?
All feedback is welcome! Please email me at afischbach@jhmi.edu
Thank you,
