January 27–Surely There's a Better Way! Creating Solutions for Exhibits and Events
3pm Eastern/ 2pm Central/ 1pm Mountain/ 12pm Pacific / 11am Alaska/ 9am Hawaii
Do you ever find yourself thinking, "We need a process, form, policy, or template for this!" while working on an exhibit or event in your archives or special collections? You're not alone! Join us for a special E2 Hour with members of the E2 Resource Bank. We'll share examples of these situations from our own professional lives and discuss what we did (or didn't do) about them. We'll facilitate a discussion about the problem-solving process that goes into creating and implementing procedures and policies. We'll also introduce the resources available to you through the E2 Exhibits & Events Resource Bank.
May 28–Supporting Students through Exhibits: Creating Thought Provoking Exhibits in Difficult Times
3pm Eastern/ 2pm Central/ 1pm Mountain/ 12pm Pacific / 11am Alaska/ 9am Hawaii
The speakers will discuss the creation of their exhibit, "Voices of Change: Student Advocacy and Action from the Archives," including how to choose and represent sensitive topics in a politically charged climate and how this work uplifts students and the wider university community.
About E2 Hours
E2 is pleased to continue the E2 Hour program series for 2025-2026. E2 Hours are designed to help us build community with each other around topics of common interest and concern. The vibe for these gatherings is low-key, informal, and collegial-one where everyone is welcome and ideas and experiences circulate freely. We want the presentations to be followed by open-ended conversations with the presenters and among attendees.
If you are interested in presenting at a future E2 Hour or giving a tour of your exhibition or repository, contact Gwyn Hervochon gwynhervochon@boisestate.edu or Amy Schindler amycschindler@gmail.com to volunteer and discuss further.
