The SAA Diversity Committee has drafted a statement regarding nationwide attacks on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA) programs and initiatives. The Diversity Committee recognizes the direct impacts recent nationwide attacks against DEIA programs and initiatives have had on many of our colleagues in their day to day work. The Committee encourages those who are able to speak out against the misrepresentation and falsehoods being spread regarding DEIA and efforts by American archives and museums to provide a comprehensive history of the United States.
