Discussion Guide for American Archivist Special Section on Accessioning

  • 1.  Discussion Guide for American Archivist Special Section on Accessioning

    Posted 2 days ago

    Hi all,

During the editorial process for volume 88:1 of American Archivist, the guest editors discussed our hopes that this Special Section on accessioning would connect people and spark conversations amongst archivists.

To that end, I'm happy to share with everyone a discussion guide that provides prompts on individual pieces, in addition to questions on themes present in multiple articles. We hope that you find the document useful in either guiding your own reading, or providing motivation to talk about these wonderful pieces with others, whether at your institution or beyond.

In addition to the discussion guide document, we have also created a spreadsheet to facilitate self-organizing discussion groups. Whether you're willing to host and keep the conversation going, or looking to join a discussion someone has set up, we hope this will allow you all to connect. As these discussions are self-organizing, the spreadsheet will not be monitored by the guest editors.

    Take care and happy reading,

Rachel (on behalf of the Special Section Editorial Team)
