Call for nominations for AMI Section leadership 2026-2027!
Submit nominations by Thursday, April 30!
Please consider getting more involved with the Audio & Moving Image (AMI) Section, Nominate yourself or a colleague for a leadership role.
The Audio and Moving Image section is seeking Chair and Vice Chair appointments for the 2026-2027 year. The section cannot do it without your involvement ☺️. As section chair for the last few years (with zero section leadership prior), I can say that the section has good structure, documentation, and can be ran fairly easily, and a wonderful team to support programs. If you are on the fence, please reach out to me directly with any questions. You may ask, what are some of the things the section does: We host coffee chats, propose SAA presentations, maintain sources on the microsite, and in general try to listen to what the community wants via surveys, and meetings.
These volunteer positions help shape section programming, build community, and support education in AMI archives. All roles require monthly meetings, plus occasional section events (e.g., coffee chats), TBD by section leadership. Candidates must be Society of American Archivists members in good standing.
Open positions:
- Chair (1 year)
- Vice-Chair/Chair-Elect (2 years total)
