Descriptive Notes, the blog of SAA's Description Section, is relaunching its series on Inclusive and Reparative Description practices and projects in archives.
Inclusive description recognizes that no archival function is neutral, but that actions can be taken to remediate and avoid bias and harmful language in finding aids, catalog records, and other archival description. Posts that engage with themes of descriptive equity, community engagement, cultural humility, and radical empathy are particularly welcome.
