Call for Publication Reviewers for Archival Issues

  • 1.  Call for Publication Reviewers for Archival Issues

    Posted 6 hours ago

    Dear colleagues,

Archival Issues, the journal of the Midwest Archives Conference, is looking for reviewers for a number of recent publications. Reviews of the below publications will be featured in the forthcoming fall 2026 edition of Archival Issues.

If you have completed a review for us in the last two years, please refrain from responding so that others who have never reviewed for us before, or who have not done so in a while, get the opportunity. Also, you do not have to be a member of MAC to review a publication for us. Reviews are generally 1000-1500 words long and must follow the MAC Style Guide.

Here is the list of available publications:

The Infinite Loop: Archives and Time Travel in the Popular Imagination by Lynne M. Thomas and Katy Rawdon (ALA Neal-Schuman)

An Archivist's Guide to Copyright: Navigating Risk Management by William J. Maher (Bloomsbury Publishing)

From Interrogation to Integration: Centering Social Justice in Special Collections, Archives, and Preservation by Kim Hoffman and Rachel Makarowski (ACRL)

Efficiency by Design: Transforming Libraries and Archives through Process Management by Joy M. Perrin (Bloomsbury Publishing)

Indigenous Archival Activism: Mohican Interventions in Public History and Memory by Rose Miron (University of Minnesota Press)

Unearthing Collections: Archives, Time, and Ethics edited by Magdalena Buchczyk, Martin Fonck, Tomas J. Uson, and Tina Palaic (UCL Press)

Creating Generative AI Policies: A Guide for Public and Academic Libraries by Robin Hastings (ALA Editions)

These tend to get claimed rather quickly, so if you are interested, please let me know as soon as possible (send expressions of interest to julieteran1@gmail.com).  Feel free to forward this along to other people you feel might be interested in reviewing these publications, or who may be interested in reviewing for us in the future.

    Thank you,

    Julia Teran
