Announcements

Dear colleagues,

Archival Issues, the journal of the Midwest Archives Conference, is looking for reviewers for a number of recent publications. Reviews of the below publications will be featured in the forthcoming spring 2026 edition of Archival Issues.

If you've completed a review for us in the two years, please refrain from responding so that others who have never reviewed for us before or who haven't done so in a while get the opportunity. Also, you don't have to be a member of MAC to review a publication for us. Reviews are generally 1000-1500 words long and must follow the MAC Style Guide.

• Family and Justice in the Archives: Historical Perspectives on Intimacy and the Law, edited by Peter Gossage and Lisa Moore (Concordia University Press)
• Building Representative Community Archives: Inclusive Strategies in Practice by Hannah Leah Crummé (ALA Neal-Schuman)
• Alone in the Stacks: Succeeding as a Solo Archivist by Christina Zamon (Society of American Archivists)
• Teaching Primary Source Research Skills to 21st Century Learners by Julie Thomas (Society of American Archivists)
• Decolonial Archival Futures by Krista McCracken and Skylee-Storm Hogan-Stacey (ALA Neal-Schuman)
• Thriving as a Mid-Career Librarian: Identity, Advocacy, and Pathways, edited by Brandon K. West and Elizabeth Galoozis
• The Burpee Seed Company: Planting U.S. History since the Nineteenth Century (Smithsonian Institution Scholarly Press)
• (It's not overtly clear from the title, but this is a very fascinating blend of U.S. business and archival history)

These tend to get claimed rather quickly, so if you're interested please let me know as soon as possible (send expressions of interest to npavlik@bgsu.edu).  Feel free to forward this along to other people you feel might be interested in reviewing these publications or who may be interested in reviewing for us in the future.
