The Archivists Round Table of Metropolitan New York (A.R.T.) is hosting its annual Archives Week Symposium at the end of October (an official date will be announced in the coming weeks), and I am sharing information about the Call for Proposals.
This year's theme is
"Envisioning Metropolis: The Future of New York City's Past Today," exploring archives, legacy, remembrance, technology, and the future of archival practice. Many of the proposed topics relate to legacy building, community archives, public engagement, and archival stewardship.
The Call for Proposals, submission guidelines, and additional information can be found here:
https://www.nycarchivists.org/13646520
The deadline for proposals is August 15, 2026. If you are interested in learning more, have any questions, or if you'd like to submit a proposal but need time beyond the deadline, please do not hesitate to reach out to me at this email address and/or at president@nycarchivists.org.
Thank you in advance for your consideration!
