The Society of American Archivists Technical Subcommittee on Describing Archives: A Content Standard (TS-DACS) invites archivists and all interested stakeholders to participate in a working meeting on aligning the DACS Principles with the DACS Rules. The meeting will be held online over 3 half-days. Membership in SAA is not required to participate.
The working meeting will engage the DACS user community as active participants in its ongoing revision. TS-DACS wants your input as we further incorporate the revised Statement of Principles (adopted in 2019) into the Rules. Members of TS-DACS will guide participants through a series of exercises toward that goal.
Participants are expected to attend all three meetings and to prepare for the meeting by familiarizing themselves with the meeting materials, which will be shared ahead of time. They will receive acknowledgement for their participation from TS-DACS.
The meeting will take place on Zoom on April 15-17 2024 from 1-4:30pm Eastern. The meeting will not be recorded.
