Junior Co-Chair (2-year commitment): This position includes a one-year term as junior co-chair and the following year as the senior co-chair of the section. The STHC junior co-chair contributes to organizing the annual meeting of the section, records minutes, and helps to draft the annual report. The senior co-chair directs and reports the activities of the section, organizes and conducts the annual meeting of the section, chairs the steering committee, acts as liaison for the section to other bodies, and is responsible for administrative matters including annual reports to the SAA.
-
Steering Committee Member-At-Large (3-year commitment): The steering committee member-at-large directs and coordinates activities of the section and makes appointments for additional steering committee members, including ex-officio appointments and when vacancies occur. Committee members help establish and execute projects throughout the year and help plan the annual section meeting.
The terms will begin in August 2024. Co-chairs and Steering Committee Members-At-Large must be current members of SAA. The STHC Section provides a forum for archivists with interests or holdings in science, technology, and health care, presenting opportunities to exchange information, solve problems, and share successes. These are great opportunities to gain leadership experience and help shape the STHC section.
