The Committee on Education is preparing to update the Society of American Archivists' Archival Continuing Education (ACE) Guidelines. We are seeking feedback on the current version of the guidelines.
The Archival Continuing Education (ACE) Guidelines provide guidance on continuing archival education. ACE provides professional archival knowledge beyond the formal credit/hour structure of education institutions. These guidelines were last revised in 2017, and the standard now contains outdated information.
This revision will include editing references to other standards which have since been updated, including the Guidelines for a Graduate Program in Archival Studies (GPAS) and the Academy of Certified Archivists' Role Delineation Statement. It will also include updating and revising outdated information in the appendices.
If you have feedback on the current version of the ACE Guidelines, please comment on this editable version of the ACE Guidelines, or email ritajohnston@miami.edu. Please share your comments on the current version by January 3, 2025. We will also seek comments on a draft revision of the guidelines at a future date.
