US Archives Month went by in a flash! We celebrated with a series of blog posts drawing insights from the NAFAN project.

(For more about the NAFAN or Building a National Finding Aid Network project, start here:  oc.lc/nafan-research)

Science fiction, Smaug's Lair, and the powerful skill of archivists – the first in a series of postings for #ArchivesMonth written by Chela Scott Weber. Archivists' unique knowledge of their collections bring great value to researchers. Interviews with end-users of archives illuminate that value.

Cameras in the reading room and the arc of change in archival practice Most archives allow researchers to take photos in their reading rooms, but it hasn't always been this way. Chela write about how this change has impacted archives and researchers.

Digitization and access in archives Chela looks at how research from the NAFAN project informs us about what researchers want from digital collections.

Emerging research on personal interest researchers in archives What do we know about personal interest researchers in the archives? Leslie Langa draws in research from the NAFAN project to give insights!

I hope you enjoy these posts!

    Best,
