Archival Landscapes
IAAS Seminar Series
Archival Landscapes is a virtual seminar series of the International Archival Affairs Section of the Society of American Archivists. In each seminar, an international guest speaker introduces participants to the issues and advancements in their local context, describing the history, operating environment and unique aspects of archival practice in their country. The seminar series is hosted by the Graduate School of Library and Information Studies, Queens College, City University of New York.

Guest speaker: Nicola Laurent

Nicola Laurent (she/her) is the Senior Project Archivist on the Find & Connect web resource team at the University of Melbourne, and the President of the Australian Society of Archivists. Nicola advocates for, and supports, the implementation of trauma-informed archival practice, promotes sustainable access to online material, and discusses the impact of vicarious trauma on archivists. Nicola is the International Council on Archives' New Professionals Programme Coordinator and Co-Founder of the Trauma-Informed Archives Community of Practice.
