    The Society of American Archivists (SAA) Foundation Opportunity Grant program provides timely funding to archival repositories to seize unexpected, time-sensitive opportunities. If your organization is facing an opportunity that cannot be missed, but needs external financial support to move forward, this is your chance!
    Why Apply? The Opportunity Grant Fund is designed to support projects that arise unexpectedly-when you need funding now to take advantage of a unique chance. Unlike the Catalyst Grant, which funds complex, long-term planned initiatives, the Opportunity Grant is for those urgent, unplanned opportunities that will directly benefit your organization.
    Grant Details:
    • Grants range from $300 to $2,500, with no match required.
    • Projects must be completed within 8 months.
    • Applications are accepted year-round until the funds are exhausted (check for availability online).
    Who Can Apply?
    • Archivists residing in the U.S. and affiliated with non-profit archival repositories with public collections.
    • Non-profit archival repositories that steward collections accessible to the public.
