The American Numismatic Association (www.money.org) will offer a 4 day workshop "Numismatics for Museum and Library Professionals" during the first session of our Summer Seminar program, June 20-25, 2026. This course will cover how to identify, research, preserve, and exhibit numismatic objects, including medals, coins, tokens, and paper money, the historical and educational value of which are often overlooked in general museum, library, and archival collections. Participants will work with objects from the ANA Money Museum collection to create a 5-minute presentation on a plan for a small exhibit describing the technical details and historical context of a set of numismatic objects. The ANA Summer Seminar program is held on the campus of Colorado College in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where our headquarters, museum, and library are located. Please visit our website (www.money.org/summer-seminar/) for more information about this program, including costs and information about specialized numismatic classes. Questions about this workshop may be directed to Curator/Museum Director Douglas Mudd (dmudd@money.org) or Library Manager Akio Lis (alis@money.org). Scholarships are available for American Numismatic Association members with application information on the website above.
