The Section-Led Track at the ARCHIVES*RECORDS 2026 in New Orleans is a new, member-driven series of education sessions designed to highlight the expertise and collaborative energy of SAA sections. This special track provides a platform where sections come together to develop and present educational sessions focused on topics of broad interest to the archives and records profession bringing diverse perspectives into the core Annual Meeting program.
Why Attend These Sessions?
- Learn directly from section leaders and members about practical, cutting-edge issues in archives and records management.
- Discover collaborative approaches that bridge multiple areas of professional interest.
- Engage with content that reflects real-world experience, emerging practices, and shared challenges across the field.
Who Leads These Sessions?
Only official SAA sections may propose sessions for this track, and each session must involve at least two sections working together. Proposals are developed by section leadership and designed to benefit all Annual Meeting attendees, not just section members. All recorded sessions will be available post conference to attendees.
The Section-Led Track reflects SAA's commitment to inclusive, member-driven programming that connects professionals across specialties and practice areas. It's a space where shared expertise becomes shared opportunity - for learning, networking, and advancing archival practice.
