    Please excuse any cross-postings.

The 2026 application for the Georgia Archives Institute opens on January 20! Make your plans to join us in Morrow, Georgia from June 1 through June 12, 2026.

The Georgia Archives Institute provides general instruction in core concepts and practices of archival administration and the management of traditional and modern documentary materials. Christina Zamon, Head of Special Collections and Archives at Georgia State University is our primary instructor.  She will be joined by Tina Seetoo from Delta Flight Museum, teaching Preservation of Archival Materials, and Born-Digital and Digital Preservation will be taught by Katherine Fisher from Emory University.

Students will also participate in individualized, three-day internships at local archival repositories.  The internship provides an opportunity for students to observe the operations of an archival facility combined with hands-on experience processing archival collections.

Tuition is $550 and enrollment is limited to 20 students.  The deadline to apply is midnight ET on March 1, 2026 for receipt of application and $75 application fee (which is refunded if not admitted to the Institute).  Tuition scholarships are available, and you can find those opportunities on our website.
