    The Nomadic Archivists Project Scholarship

As archivists, we understand that access means everything: to information and opportunities. One of the ways new and independent archivists can build their skill sets is to be active in professional organizations. We know that the Society of American Archivists (SAA) is an important platform for archivists to network, share work with peers, to attend workshops, and more.

Whether you are just entering the field or are an independent archivist, we want to help you build your archivist career.

    ELIGIBILITY
The NAP Scholarship is an annual fund awarded to students and independent archivists who identify as African or of African descent, and who wish to attend the Society of American Archivists (SAA) conference in 2020. The scholarship awardee will receive up to $1,500 to pay for membership, transportation, lodging, and food.

SAA is the oldest and largest archivist association in North America, serving the educational and informational needs of more than 5,000 individual archivists and institutional members. Established in 1936, the organization serves upwards of 6,200 individual and member institutions.
