The nuanced expertise required of those in the archival profession requires consistent attention to best practices and field standards, though does not regularly incorporate financial knowledge. Building upon the information introduced in "Finance Basics for Archives Managers," this course attends to topics of institutional financial planning, reporting, and to specific discussions of donor restrictions, endowments, and timely issues related to crisis planning and deaccessioning management through a financial lens. Participants will have the opportunity to tackle dynamic issues in institutional finance with a focus on collections stewardship and archives management.

Rebekah "Becky" Beaulieu, Ph.D. is the Director of the Florence Griswold Museum in Old Lyme, Connecticut. Becky is a board member of the New England Museum Association, Connecticut Humanities, and Treasurer of the American Association of State and Local History. In 2019, she was appointed an American Association of Museums Accreditation Commissioner.
Becky is the author of Financial Fundamentals for Historic House Museums (Rowman & Littlefield, 2017), co-editor of The State of Museums: Voices from the Field (MuseumsEtc., 2018), and author of the forthcoming Endowment Essentials for Museums (Rowman & Littlefield, 2022). She holds an M.A. in Art History and Museum Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and in Arts Administration from Columbia University; she earned her Ph.D. in American and New England Studies from Boston University.
