Subject: [MARC] Presentations from LC BIBFRAME Update at ALA Philadelphia

    Hi all,

Library of Congress BIBFRAME Update Forum

    Sunday, January 26, 2020

Collaboration and flexibility have been two of the keywords in the BIBFRAME developments from the beginning.  At ALA the BIBFRAME Update Forum will highlight both.  Collaborations now with a report of from a "cohort" institution in the Mellon funded LD4 developments over the last year and a half.  Exciting collaborations over the next two years fueled by recent Mellon grants -- Stanford and other LD4 institutions with the PCC, and OCLC with the community.  Is the new landscape beginning to take shape?  If so flexibility is even more essential as many systems will need MARC even as the BIBFRAME community grows, so conversion from BIBFRAME to MARC will be an important topic.
