The Encoded Archival Standards (EAS) Section is seeking candidates to fill a junior co-chair position. The successful candidate will serve a two-year term (August 2021-August 2023), becoming senior co-chair for the second year of their term. Nominees must be current members of the Society of American Archivists to be considered.
The EAS Section has recently completed a survey regarding the use of encoded archival standards in the profession and intends to continue to use the results of that survey to inform its activities in the upcoming year. The Section will be looking to develop education and outreach opportunities to meet needs identified in the survey -- if this is something that interests you, please consider joining EAS leadership!
Please feel free to email current co-chairs Betts Coup at elizabeth_coup@harvard.edu and Bo Doub at bdoub@usc.edu with any questions regarding the nominations/election process or the current and anticipated activities of the Section.
If interested, please submit the following by Friday, June 4, 2021, to Betts Coup, Senior Co-Chair, at elizabeth_coup@harvard.edu:
- Candidate Name
- Job Title and Institution
- Headshot (optional)
- Bio and Candidate Statement (1-2 paragraphs) describing your background and motivations for serving
Sincerely, the leadership of the EAS Section:
