The Security Section of SAA is accepting nominations for the role of Vice-Chair/Chair-elect as part of our leadership team.
This position is the beginning of a 3 year transitioning path through the roles of steering committee officers. After the first year of service, the incumbent transitions to the role of Section Chair, and then Past Chair.
(These officers make up the steering committee)
Note: The ability to attend the annual meeting is strongly encouraged for the personal benefit of the member, but is NOT mandatory to hold office!
If you are, or know someone that you can encourage to run who is, interested in any of these things, please consider throwing a hat into the ring.
This is a chance to contribute to the section, to delve into the every advancing issues surrounding security, start or progress down a path of leadership, help shape the activities and direction of the section, have archives security issues that you feel need more attention, wish to advance your record of service in archives and in SAA, or to do anything else that might be accomplished through participating in our leadership cadre, please consider running for office.
