    **NOTICE** FINAL CALL!!

SAA's Audio and Moving Image Section is seeking submissions for a Spring 2019 issue of our newsletter.

As your newly inducted Newsletter Editor, I hope that you and your colleagues will consider submissions to infuse new life into our newsletter with its new logo. It is my hope that we can put out both a Spring and Fall issue this year.

    Suggested topics for contributions include:

    • Archive profiles
    • Current preservation and/or access efforts
    • Best practices from the field
    • Member spotlights
    • Collaborative efforts
    • Reports on conferences/workshops
    • Challenges for archivists working with recorded sound and moving images
    • Opportunities for sound and image archives
    • Student forum
    • News announcements: collections, grants, professional achievements, etc.
    • Any other archival issue related to the creation, management, preservation, or use of audio and audiovisual resources

We invite contributions from section members, students, and others working in the field. The Summer 2017 newsletter can be viewed here for reference.

    Spring Guidelines:

Short pieces, up to 225 words, are encouraged in addition to longer articles up to 700 words in length. Submissions may be edited with minor revisions for clarity and brevity. If substantial changes seem necessary, authors will be contacted for approval prior to publication. Please use in-text citations (if citations are included) with an end-page bibliography. If you would like to include images as part of your article, please submit as additional high resolution jpeg or gif files. Include credit lines with your submission when appropriate.

Please send contributions or inquiries to applegate.kj@gmail.com. Deadline for submissions is Friday, April 5th, 2019.
