    Posted Jun 28, 2022 04:27 PM

Hello,I am an associate professor at the School of Information, University of South Florida. I am conducting an online survey on freelancing activities among archivists. Anyone in the archives management profession, including practicing archivists, archival educators, students, recent graduates, retired archivists, and self-employed freelance archivists, are invited to take this survey.Freelance archivists in this survey are defined as archivists who do short-term/temporary consulting or hands-on work for clients. They can be self-employed or freelancing in addition to their other jobs. The purpose of the survey is to find out whether the workforce of freelance archivists is growing in a similar manner as the general freelance workforce in the U.S. and worldwide, and help archival educators, professional associations and related commercial sectors decide how to prepare for such a change in the archivist labor market. The survey will take approximately 10 minutes to finish. No personal identification information will be collected in the survey. You are free to skip any question or stop taking the survey at any time. The project has been approved by the University of South Florida Institutional Review Board. (Study # 003233). If you have questions about your rights, complaints, or issues as a person taking part in this study, call the USF IRB at (813) 974-5638 or contact the IRB by email at RSCH-IRB@usf.edu.Your response to the survey will be greatly appreciated!
