Dear Colleagues,
A reminder that FREE registration is now open for the Web Archiving Conference (WAC), 23-25 May, 2022! This year's conference will be held online, and is organized in partnership with the Library of Congress, one of the IIPC's founding members.
The online setting makes it possible for anyone across the globe to participate in our conference. We have, therefore, ensured that this year's live sessions cover many time zones. Times are listed in UTC and local time on our event overview page. The conference will be a mix of pre-recorded presentations made available to registrants ahead of WAC, and live Q&A sessions during the conference.
The draft program for WAC is available at: https://netpreserve.org/ga2022/wac . You can also browse the abstracts: https://netpreserve.org/ga2022/wac/abstracts/.
This year's conference title #whywebarchiving is inspired by Kees Teszelszky, Curator of Born Digital Collections at Koninklijke Bibliotheek | National Library of the Netherlands.
For updates, please follow the conference website (https://netpreserve.org/ga2022) and Twitter (@netpreserve, #iipcGA22, #iipcWAC22, #WhyWebArchiving).
If you have any questions about WAC, you can email events@netpreserve.org.
The GA&WAC Organizing Committee is:
Abbie Grotke & Tracee Haupt, Library of Congress
Kelsey Socha & Olga Holownia, IIPC
Robin Saklatvala, Robin Event Management
Conference sessions are pre-recorded; you will be emailed a link and password after registration. The live events include discussion, Q&A, and networking.
I look forward to seeing you online!
