    Dear fellow SAA members,

The Preservation Section is proud to announce another successful Silent Auction thanks to the generous donations and bids from SAA members.

This year the auction alone raised a total of $3,119 for the National Disaster Recovery Fund for Archives (NDRFA). In addition, conference attendees who donated to receive enamel pin thank-you gifts raised another $1,595. Combined, this is almost the full amount of one NDRFA grant to an organization in need!

The National Disaster Recovery Fund for Archives was established in 2005 after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita and is used to support the recovery of archival collections from major disasters, regardless of region or repository type. For more information on the NDRFA, please visit: https://www2.archivists.org/news/2008/national-disaster-recovery-fund-for-archives

Thank you so much to all SAA members and attendees who donated items to the auction, placed bids in Boston, and helped spread the word. A special thank you to all our many auction table volunteers and to Peter Carlson, Felicia Owens, and the whole SAA staff for helping the Preservation Section make the auction a success.

If you would like to help your colleagues by donating to the National Disaster Recovery Fund for Archives, you can still do so by visiting the SAA Foundation Online Donation Form.

See you next year in Washington DC! With gratitude,

The NDRFA Sub-committee and the Preservation Section
