    REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
    Minimum 2 years experience working in an archival, digital preservation, or digitization setting. Projects, part-time work, and internship experience counts.
    Minimum of an undergraduate degree. We firmly believe that career paths are nonlinear and unconventional backgrounds can make for more rich and diverse perspectives. Proven results and experience are more important to us than educational credentials.
    • Superior communication, writing, and public speaking abilities
    • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously
    • Experience with practical tools, methods, and concepts in digital preservation
    • Experience with collections management systems
    • Fluency in MS Office and Google Suite of products

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    As Preservation Coordinator you will be responsible for the hands-on preservation activities in Small Data Industries' lab – in your role you will be accountable for carrying out and/or coordinating the following mission-critical activities:

    • Cataloging of time-based media art & archival material
    • Forensic Disk imagingDigital photography
    • Media upload to CMS and/or digital storage
    • Inspection and cataloging of digital files
    • Communicating directly with clients (artists, galleries, collectors, institutions)AV
    • Digitization projects: packing and shipping, coordination with vendors, and QC
    • Tracking incoming acquisitions for client collectionsKeeping various project stakeholders (vendors, artists, clients) on track
    • Assisting with research projects as time allows

    Part-time (30 hours/week), benefits, salary range $40,000-60,000 commensurate with experience. Applications are due by August 21st.
