    Calling all Museum, Gallery, Art Librarians, University Libraries, and art archive enthusiasts,

    The Museum Archives Section seeks submissions for the upcoming newsletter and is extending the deadline for written submissions until Sunday, January 16, 2022, for the next issue of the Museum Archivist newsletter.  The newsletter relies on submissions from the MAS section or anyone wishing to contribute to the museum archives community.

    Please consider sharing your work, news, projects, and accomplishments with MAS,
    Some potential topics to include, yet are not limited to:
    • Professional updates or internship and project profiles that highlight colleagues work,
    • reports on reopening plans\working in the hybrid environment,
    • incorporating diversity, inclusion, and equity into your workplace,
    • community archives or community-based art focused projects,
    • features on exhibitions or collections from your institutions, 
    • features on projects that highlight a particular topic, a new technology, or something notable to the community,
    • future events or public programs that would be of interest to the Section.

    General word-length guidelines: 250-500 words for profiles and updates; longer articles on collections, special projects, and topics are welcome. High-resolution images are encouraged!

    If long-form writing is not your thing but you would like to connect with the community, please consider highlighting yourself, your work, or interview a colleague for the newsletter. We want to hear from you! Considering responding with the following questions:

    • Your name.
    • Position title.
    • Any affiliated organization or institution (e.g. institution, organization, self-employed, etc.)
    • Tell us about your institution and how you came to work there?
    • What does your workday look like? How do you spend most of your time daily?
    • Tell us about an interesting object or collection in your archives?
    • Share information about an exciting project that you are working on or have recently completed (feel free to submit images or a link)?
    • Can you share a review of an exhibition you recently visited or share a publication or book you read recently with the MAS community?
