The spread of COVID-19 is hitting us all hard. Institutions are closing, moving to remote work, and adjusting to what may be several weeks - or even months - of time away from our collections. Archivists in contingent or precarious roles may be disproportionately affected by the crisis.

We're a group of SAA members and concerned librarians and archivists organizing to create the Archives Workers Emergency Fund in support of archival workers in contingent or precarious jobs who may be affected by COVID-19, have limited workplace protections or sick time, and may suffer the loss of hours and income as institutions respond to the epidemic. You can learn more and join the effort here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1AK7K3PrhAzSk8cwFp7vp2lqvM-Pa24tA

If you are an archival worker in a contingent or precarious position concerned about the impact of COVID-19 on your workplace status, please take our short, anonymous survey. We want to hear about your experience. What you share will help scope and define the emergency fund: https://forms.gle/G6KWyF6BuwQg9dQj8
