[Posted on behalf of Liz Adams, ACRL RMBS Bibliographic Standards Committee]
Colleagues,
The Program Planning Group of ACRL's Rare Book and Manuscripts Section (RBMS) Bibliographic Standards Committee (BSC) is committed to increasing programming related to cataloging and technical services at RBMS conferences. Currently, we are seeking presenters and topics for sessions for the RBMS 2022 and RBMS 2023 conferences.
We are interested in soliciting ideas for new topics. Presentations related to cataloging and technical services issues in archival repositories are especially welcome. We recognize that proposal writing can be time-consuming, especially if you've not done it before. If you have a topic idea and are willing to write a session proposal, BSC will work with you to draft the proposal. Members of the Program Planning Group will provide assistance and guidance.
We would like to have potential topics by Friday, August 20th, 2021. If you have a preference for presenting in a specific year (e.g., 2023), please include that in your response. The Program Planning Group will then decide which topics to pursue and will reach out to presenters to begin drafting proposals.
Please email me (Liz Adams/elizabeth.adams@duke.edu) off-list if you have a potential topic and/or are willing to draft a session proposal, or if you have any questions.
On behalf of BSC,
Liz Adams
