    Dear Colleagues,

Because this year has seen the cancellation of so many conferences and workshops, I wanted to share the announcement below and invite you to the annual meeting of the Society of Georgia Archivists. Although we're based in Georgia, we welcome attendees from anywhere! We've taken the shift to an online format as a an opportunity to make our conference more affordable and accessible, and we hope some of you will join us.

Registration is now open for the Society of Georgia Archivists 2020 Annual Meeting, which will be held online November 11-13, 2020.

With this year's theme, "Building Partnerships and Dismantling Barriers," our program will focus on how our profession can continue to grow through inclusive practices designed to attract new user groups and improve the experience of existing constituencies. Presentations will cover topics such as accessibility, diversifying collections, responding to disruption, games in archives, and more. A draft program with an overview of the meeting schedule is now available on the conference web page, and the full program will be posted soon. We are also thrilled to announce that this year's keynote speaker will be Dorothy Berry, Digital Collections Program Manager at Harvard's Houghton Library.

Annual meeting registration will close at the end of the month, so don't wait! Registration is free for SGA Members and only $35 for non-members. SGA membership dues are $25 ($10 for students) per year, and we welcome new members at any time.

In conjunction with the 2020 Annual Meeting, SGA is also offering two virtual workshops, which require separate registration. Visit our Workshops & Continuing Education page for details.
