Dear colleagues,
Does appraisal get you fired up? Do acquisitions stories interest you? Are you looking for a service opportunity that is both virtual and can benefit colleagues across the U.S. and beyond? We are seeking individuals interested in acquisitions and appraisal for the following three positions on the Acquisitions & Appraisal Section steering committee:
- Vice Chair/Chair Elect
- Steering Committee At-Large Member (2 positions available)
We are particularly looking for candidates for the Vice Chair/Chair Elect position at this time (and please feel free to ask me about the role!)
Candidates must be members of SAA and the A&A Section at the time of nomination. We encourage candidates of all experience levels and from various types of institutions. Consider nominating yourself or a colleague! Please email the Nominating Committee with your or your colleague's name, email address, and institution. Committee members are Marcella Huggard (mdwiget@gmail.com), Suzi Noruschat (noruscha@usc.edu), and Jamie Seemiller (jseemill@denverlibrary.org)
All information for nominations, including biographical information, a photograph (optional), and an answer to a question posed by the Nominating Committee is due by May 25. Final ballot information will be sent to SAA by June 1, and elections will be held online later in June 2020.
