Hello all, and apologies for cross posting.
Below is the call for participants for research I'm conducting on leadership and management skills development in archives/special collections. I'd very much appreciate your participation!

Since posting this a few weeks ago, I've received a few questions about the MLIS requirement for completing this survey. Though I appreciate that many of us come into the field from a variety of disciplinary/educational backgrounds, completion of the full survey is limited to those who have obtained an MLIS because this survey data will be compared with an environmental scan of MLIS curriculum focused on management/leadership skills.

    Call for Survey Participants:
You are invited to participate in a research study conducted by Kara Flynn, Research & Educational Services Archivist at the University of Arkansas. The study includes an online survey on leadership and management in archives & special collections, which will ask respondents questions about their educational background, management or leadership experience, and about the ways in which they acquired and continue to develop their leadership and management skills.

The purpose of this survey is to determine how Archivists and Special Collections Librarians  learn and develop their management and leadership skills. If not through their formal education, how do they learn them on the job?

The survey is anonymous and no personally identifiable information will be collected. Please feel free to forward this information and the link below to anyone who might be interested in participating in the survey.

The survey should take approximately 20-25 minutes to complete. You can access the survey here:
