As we reckon with continued racial injustices, police brutality, and Covid-19, 2020 has already been an important year in our culture as we reach the halfway mark of June.
The postcard exchange art project, "How's the weather here there?" began on January 1 of this year and continues through December 31 with the goal of creating connection and an abstract record of the year. The project will later exhibit as an art show and be published as a book where proceeds will provide support to organizations helping our extensive homeless population. Because the personal is political, is communal, is personal, I would again like to invite you and anyone else who might be interested to participate in this project.
To participate, describe your current inner and outer landscape (physical space, emotional state, whatever that means to you) on a postcard and mail it to me: Erin Fussell P.O. Box 13414 Los Angeles, CA 90013 If you include a return address, I will write back to you describing mine in that particular moment. Addresses will be removed for public presentation.
Occasionally, I'll share some updates throughout the year on social media using #howstheweatherherethere and you can view the invitation on my website as well: https://erinfussell.com/new/
