Please join the Students and New Archives Professionals (SNAP) Section and the Mentoring Program subcommittee for a #snaprt Twitter chat on Thursday, January 24, from 8-9 PM ET to discuss mentorship within SAA.
The Mentoring Program Subcommittee (part of the SAA Membership Committee) manages the SAA Mentoring Program, which brings together members with shared interests in one-year mentoring relationships. We match program applicants based on subject interests; notify mentors and protégés of matches; seek feedback on the program; conduct outreach and publicity efforts.
We welcome everyone to join or keep up with our chat using the #snaprt hashtag on Twitter.
The SNAP Section Twitter account (@SNAP_Section) will pose the following questions:
- Q1: What would you most want to get out of a mentoring relationship? #snaprt
- Q2: What strategies have you found that make mentoring relationships successful? #snaprt
- Q3: What do you actively seek in your relationship with mentors? #snaprt
- Q4: At what parts of your career have you benefited from mentorship? #snaprt
- Q5: Do you have questions about the SAA Mentoring Program? Tweet them here or contact ARCHIVISTS-mentoring@connectedcommunity.org #snaprt
Please see the #snaprt chat webpage for more information about #snaprt Twitter chats. Any questions or suggestions regarding this chat may be emailed to SNAP Section Chair at newarchivistsrt@gmail.com or submitted through the anonymous form on the SNAP RT chat webpage.
