Come join the Privacy and Confidentiality Section Committee! It's not too late to nominate yourself for one of our open positions, especially for the Vice Chair/Chair Elect/Immediate Past Chair position. Our extended deadline in Friday June 12th.
Do you want to be more involved with SAA? Do privacy, confidentiality, and restriction issues within archives excited you? Do you want to help shape these conversations with your fellow archivists? Then consider being part of the P & C team!
Our open positions include:
- Vice Chair/Chair Elect/Immediate Past Chair (3-year term)
- Steering Committee Members (2-year term)
- Early Career Member (1-year term)
All are encouraged to apply, including students and early career archivists. If you are an early career archivist, you are not limited to only the Early Career Member position. You don't have to be an expert; you just have to come with ideas and an eagerness to move the conversation forward on privacy in archives. To apply, please submit a nomination form.
Candidate Statements are scoped broadly but are encouraged to address the following question: What would you like the Privacy & Confidentiality Section to pursue with your leadership?
