In just one week, the archives community will come together at ARCHIVES*RECORDS 2021-and we hope you'll be there, too!

The conference always provides many opportunities to connect, learn, and grow professionally-and the 2021 meeting is no exception!

Join your archives colleagues from Wednesday, August 4, through Friday, August 6, starting at 11:00 am Central Time each day. Ten sessions accepted by the Program Committee will be presented, along with two plenaries, open forums, sponsor mini-theaters, all-new "Conversation Lounges," professional and graduate student posters, and a variety of virtual repository tours and networking events. Participate in real time or view when your schedule allows.

    AVAILABLE NOW!

Twenty on-demand sessions selected by the Program Committee are available now to conference registrants. Watch now and then attend Live Q&A sessions with the speakers during the main conference

Watch plenary speaker Luis Argueta's 2016 film The U Turn! The documentary chronicles the aftermath of the 2008 Postville raid and follows the legal fight of the plant's undocumented workers for U-visas available to victims of crimes, including workplace abuses like sexual harassment and child labor violations. (Available from July 26 to August 3.)

Enhance your professional development with these additional pre-conference offerings:

On Monday, August 2, Micaela Blei will once again present a "Storytelling Workshop Master Class" to help you refine or refresh your storytelling skills. Sponsored by the Committee on Public Awareness, the workshop requires a separate registration and modest fee ($49).

On Tuesday, August 3, join members of the Committee on Public Awareness and Committee on Public Policy for "Build a Bridge to Stand: Making the Ask Even in Uncertain Times," which presents a process-focused approach to advocacy that you can apply to your own environment. (No additional fee for conference registrants.)

Also on Tuesday, you'll have a chance to discuss "Research Basics for Archivists" in a live Q&A with the presenters of that on-demand webcast (released on July 26). (No additional fee for conference registrants.)
