Join your fellow archivists in a group reading of SAA's constitution and bylaws! Co-sponsored by the group currently known as "ad-hoc working group on salary transparency" and the Students and New Professionals Section, this is an opportunity for us to learn the rules that govern the largest national professional archivist association in the U.S. It is also a space to hold discussion on how these rules play out in real situations and how they have been amended in the past or could be amended in the future.
Over two hour-long sessions, we will gather via Zoom and together read the first section of SAA's Governance Manual and have an open discussion. Some talking points will be brainstormed ahead of time, but you are welcome and encouraged to contribute your thoughts, ideas, reactions.
Tuesday, April 28th at 7-8pm EST - Constitution Reading and Discussion
Thursday, May 14th at 12-1pm EST - Bylaws Reading and Discussion
Please RSVP at this link to receive the Zoom info and calendar invite for both sessions: https://forms.gle/7WGwhy9dQChW9ywY8
Members of SAA and non-members alike are invited to participate, so feel free to share this communication far and wide!
