The Society of Mississippi Archivists hosted its first Virtual Table Talk on July 31st featuring Dr. Carrie Freshour, Prof. Ted Fisher, Prof. Arlene Sanders, Sykina Butts, Tyler Wells, Michelle Johansen, and Emily Jones of Delta State University. A recording of their talk, "'
We have no leaders, we are all leaders!': Collecting and Celebrating the 1969 Black Student Sit-In at Delta State College," is now available via SMA VTT's YouTube Channel.
Our next Virtual Table Talk will take place on September 25th and will feature Angela D. Stewart and Dr. Alferdteen Harrison of the Margaret Walker Center at Jackson State University. Their talk is entitled "Community Collaboration: The Margaret Walker Center and the Scott-Ford House, Inc." Registration details will be announced in the near future, so stay tuned!
