    Posted Sep 03, 2021 04:35 PM

September 3, 2021-SAA is concerned for our archival colleagues and all those whose lives have been affected by the recent destruction caused by Hurricane Ida. Our thoughts are with you, and wishes everyone a smooth and swift recovery.

We encourage you to share the following resources with any cultural institutions that may need help recovering from damages. Institutions in need are encouraged to apply for a National Disaster Recovery Fund for Archives grant from the SAA Foundation for immediate recovery efforts. To support institutions and archivists affected by these disasters, consider making a donation to the NDRFA fund.

See the HENTF dashboard for graphics from the National Hurricane Center as well as preparedness tips for cultural institutions and other useful links.

Review these Flood Recovery Resources, as compiled by the Foundation for Advancement in Conservation (FAIC).

Browse the SAA Disaster Response and Recovery Resources page for compiled information on hurricane and flash flooding.

Request support from the SAA Foundation National Disaster Recovery Fund for Archives (NDRFA).
