A friendly reminder that the 2020 deadlines for Exam Applications and for CA re-certification are due online by May 31, 2020 at 11:59 EDT!
CERTIFIED ARCHIVISTS:
The deadline for the ACA Election for Board positions is May 26, 2020: Get those ballots in. Email
aca@caphill.com if you have not received a link to your ballot.
EXAM APPLICANTS:
The exam will be given online this year for both prospective CAs and CAs recertifying by exam. The format will remain the same: 100 multiple choice questions. If you are planning to take the exam, please like the ACA Facebook page or bookmark the ACA home page for regular updates on the exam format and platform.
If you have concerns related to your application, contact the Regent for Exam Administration. On the question of supervisor/university/employer letterhead documentation, remote work or other working conditions may be making it difficult to get signed letters on letterhead to support your exam applications under Option 1 and Option 2.
If this is the case for you, please do the following:
1) Upload a document with your supervisor's or employer's full name and contact information including their official email address with your exam application documentation.
2) Have your supervisor or employer send their letter and any supporting information they want to include to
examadmin@certifiedarchivists.org. Ensure that they send the letter or attachment from their work email. We will check to make sure that the email address matches the one that you submitted.
RE-CERTIFIERS:
Please reach out to the Regent for Certification Maintenance with questions relating to Certification Maintenance for activities up through December 31, 2019.
We will be providing guidance for everyone (and that literally means all of us) affected by COVID-19 as it relates to re-certification points in the coming weeks and months.
