Archivists at Home document and free webinars on remote work

  • 1.  Archivists at Home document and free webinars on remote work

    Posted Mar 16, 2020 12:31 PM

    Hi all,

I just wanted to share the Archivists at Home document that the Accessibility & Disability Section has been crowdsourcing.  "Archivists at home" began as brainstorming advocacy tool for developing a more flexible concept of archival labor, whether it is archivists working from home due to COVID-19 or archivists with disabilities.  The document has evolved in scope to address needs of the archival community to address adapting to COVID-19 broadly, ranging from the workplace, choosing to temporarily close an archives, to working from home, and notes on supporting student and contingent workers.  Please check it out!

I also wanted to pass along this info on free webinars relating to remote work (below)

    Stay healthy!

Are you a remote worker? If not, you may soon become one. Remote work is on the rise, so chances are good that at least a percentage of your work time may be spent outside of the office. Working remotely requires a change in mindset and potentially a change in your typical day-to-day schedule. Applying your same office practices while working remote may not be the best approach. Join us for this informative webinar as we discuss several strategies to make you a better remote worker.
