  • 1.  Update to the 2020 SAA Election

    By petition of 52 SAA members and in accordance with the SAA bylaws (Section 5.C.), Kris Kiesling of the University of Minnesota will join the slate of candidates to be considered for the position of Vice President/President-Elect in the 2020 election. 

    As noted in the SAA bylaws, Section 5.C., "The Nominating Committee shall put forth a minimum of two (2) nominees from the eligible membership for each vacancy. The Nominating Committee shall notify the membership of the names of the nominees through the January/February issue of the Society's newsletter. An eligible member may also be placed on the ballot by submission of a petition signed by fifty (50) individual members. Such petitions must be received in the executive office by February 10." The petition nominating Kiesling was received on January 10.

    See the revised slate for the 2020 election below. Information about each candidate will be posted to the SAA website in February.

    Any eligible member of SAA may also be placed on the ballot by submitting a petition signed by fifty individual members; petitions must be received in the SAA office by February 10, 2020.

    The online ballot will be administered by SAA's new election service provider, Survey & Ballot Systems, in March.
