This month we welcome Becky Koch, Conservator and Preservation Specialist at Illinois State University's Milner Library. Becky has a wealth of experience working in preservation, conservation, and archives - and loves to talk about all things preservation! Though she specializes in paper, Becky will switch gears and talk to us about painting storage and conservation. Becky will also talk about a portrait conservation project she recently completed with the Conservation Center in Chicago, Illinois. Do you have artwork, portraits, or other art mediums you'd like to discuss? Bring your questions (and those mugs you got over the holidays) to the chat!
We welcome all sections to join us! In our almost two years of chats, we have learned many lessons, not the least of which is that archives practice truly transcends section boundaries. We have experienced much-added value when non-C&UA section members have contributed. Whether you want to contribute or simply listen in, we're happy to hear from all members.
